What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Chicago! The weather here in Chicago in May is generally unpredictable. Our best guess is that when we are at the church in the afternoon away from the Lake, it will be in the low 80s. And in the evening when we are at the reception which is closer to Lake Michigan it will be 15 degrees cooler. It is best to check the local forecast.
I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?
We have a room block at the Forester Hotel. Please refer to the "Travel" section of the website. Please let either MaryClaire or Isaac know if you are having using the link and or if you have trouble finding a room within the block.
What are the distances and travel times between venues?
St. Isaac Jogues Church is 35 miles from the Forester Hotel and requires approximately 40 minutes of travel time without traffic to make the trip. The Forester Hotel is 7 miles from
Exmoor Country Club and requires approximately 20 minutes of travel time to and from.
Which airport makes the most sense for travel?
The hotel is situated 20 miles north of Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. American Taxi has a fixed price fee to the hotel. Midway and Milwaukee’s Mitchell airport are further away, but also might work if one is planning to rent a car.
Is there parking available? Will there be transportation?
Yes, there is parking available for both the mass as well as the reception. There will be transportation available for guests for relaxed travel from the Forester Hotel to St. Isaac's, from St. Isaac's to Exmoor, and from Exmoor back to the Forester Hotel. More details will be available as the wedding date approaches.
Are children welcome at the wedding?
While we love all of the young friends and family in our lives, we kindly ask that our wedding is an adults-only affair. Let's celebrate!
